January 7th

Long time that I did write something, not because I slow down my training but because I'm swamped with work and organizing Emilie's Birthday surprise (she still doesn't know :-) ) and the fundraising event.
So yesterday it was Emilie 30's birthday and as it seems to become a tradition, we went to yoga at My Yoga Spirit. It was really nice to see a huge turnout. We were 10, Kate and Cam join us, it was really nice to share a yoga practice with them.
After that I drooped Emilie at Christina's house as I was going to the pool for a group training session. It was really good to see everybody and gather this wonderful group energy.

3 Janvier

January 1st

Happy new year everyone, I wish you all the best for the new year. I know that 2010 will be full of challenge like triathlon :-) Most important, I wish you and your family be healthy and happy.
Today as many people do resolution, I couldn't resist the urge to go for a run. As you can see, on the picture below, the weather is perfect, just around 0degC. The only downside detail is the white coat on the road.
Trust me it was a hard 5km run. Leaving the house, I had two choices for the route to take: left or right. One was going up, the other one was going down. I, off course, choose the one going down and I realize after 2.5km that I will have to back up all the way back, I guess it's the hill I'm suppose to run sunday.
To finish a fun relaxing first day of the calendar, Cam, Kate, Joe, Janet and I did a toboggan race. So much fun, make me feel like young and stupid again ... hold on ... I still young and stupid.

30 Decembre

December 29th

Yesterday was dedicated to me :-) After an 30 min bike ride with no problem with the clip ons. I guess I start to have the hang of it. But the nice part of my day was the chiropractor appointment follow by an hour massage. Feel stiff right after but I know it's good for me :-D
Today, back to the route on swimming, Emilie join me at Britannia pool. I realize that it's harder to count when I swim in a shorter pool. I know I swam more than 450m continuous but maybe 50m meter more :-) The total distance is approximately 1100m. I really have to increase my distance....
Tomorrow, I'm meeting Susan for a bike ride youhou. I'm now looking to discover new bike routes to add a bite of variety in my rides... Any suggestions?

28 Decembre
